On Saturday 24 October 2026, Ye or also known as Kanye West, takes the stage at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium for his first ever concert in Indonesia. Jakarta is the only Southeast Asian stop on his 2026 world tour, and up to 77,000 fans are expected from across the region and Australia. If you are travelling in for the show, here is how to plan the weekend around it, from the route to the stadium to where to rest afterwards.

What makes this show different?

Ye is touring with his Globe Stage, a 360 degree production set in the middle of the stadium with the audience all around it. Where is Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, and which area should I stay in?

GBK sits in Senayan, part of South Jakarta. Staying right beside the stadium sounds convenient, but on concert night the streets around Senayan close up with traffic and crowds, and there is little to do there over the rest of the weekend.

How do I get to GBK and back on the night?

The MRT is the simplest way to travel. From Bundaran HI station, take the North South Line four stops south to Istora Mandiri station, which takes around ten minutes. From there it is roughly a ten minute walk to the stadium gates.

After the show, the MRT is also the fastest way home, as taxis and ride hailing cars around Senayan can take a long time to reach you once 77,000 people leave at once. MRT Jakarta often extends its hours for major stadium events, so check their official channels on the day for the last train time. What else can we do in Jakarta as a couple?

The weekend is about more than one night at the stadium.
