We are pleased to share the following sustainable initiatives and practices from our property:

• Certifications: We are EarthCheck certified, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable energy, water, and waste management.
• Plastic Reduction: We have eliminated one-time-use plastics and provide glass-bottled water to reduce waste.
• Waste Management: We partner with Clean The World to recycle room amenities and soap bars. We also encourage food waste separation and general recycling.
• Water Conservation: Our pool’s green wall utilises an irrigation system to manage water consumption for gardening.
• Guest Engagement: We use sustainability cards to encourage the reuse of towels and bedsheets during housekeeping.
• Heritage Preservation: We preserve the history of the Capitol Building and Capitol Theatre through informational displays and room orientations.
• Community & Culture: We support local artists, businesses and schools through our vendor selection, partnerships and employment practices.

This year, we proudly celebrated World Environment Day in June for a meaningful collaboration with the Waterways Watch Society. We joined a pedal boat clean‑up, combining fun and purpose as we collected 38 kilograms of trash from Singapore’s waterways. This initiative reflects our belief that luxury and responsibility are inseparable—every thoughtful action, from preserving natural spaces to embracing eco‑friendly practices, contributes to a greener future for our city and our guests.

On Earth Day, 22 April, we joined millions worldwide in honouring our planet with a meaningful initiative at Gardens by the Bay. Rolling up our sleeves, we collected litter to help the gardens sparkle, embodying our belief that luxury and responsibility go hand in hand. Every thoughtful action, from keeping our surroundings pristine to embracing eco‑friendly practices, reflects our dedication to a healthier future. At Kempinski, we remain committed to protecting and cherishing the beauty of our environment, not only today but every day.

On 22 March, in celebration of World Water Day, we stepped beyond our walls to embrace Singapore’s vision of water conservation. Our team visited the Sustainable Singapore Gallery, where innovation meets responsibility, and explored interactive exhibits that brought the nation’s water journey to life. Back at the hotel, curated activities inspired reflection and strengthened community spirit, with the whole team in blue-toned apparel, reminding us that true luxury is defined not only by comfort but also by choices that leave a lasting, positive impact.
